Halo Community Owner Terms
Effective date: November 12, 2026 · Last updated: October 12, 2026
These Owner Terms apply to a Halo customer that Huzi, Inc. ("Halo," "we," "us") sets up as the owner of a private Community (the "Owner"), and to the managers and moderators the Owner appoints. "You" means the Owner and, for anything about running the Community, those managers and moderators. The Owner is responsible for what its managers and moderators do.
These Owner Terms are part of the Halo Terms of Service, including its arbitration agreement and Delaware governing law. If they conflict, these Owner Terms control for running your Community, and the Terms control for everything else. The Community Guidelines apply to you as a member too.
1. Running your Community
You decide who joins, set membership tiers and prices, approve vendors, and moderate content. You must:
- enforce the Community Guidelines, and keep any rules you add consistent with them and with the Terms;
- review reports promptly and remove content that is unlawful or breaks the Guidelines;
- give manager and moderator roles only to people you trust, and remove them when they no longer need access; and
- not use the Community, or the AI assistant you name for it, to give legal, financial, or other professional advice that members would reasonably rely on as such.
2. Selling memberships
You are the seller. You connect a Stripe account through Halo, and membership payments are charged directly on your account. You are the merchant of record and are responsible for prices, taxes, receipts, refunds, chargebacks, and disputes, and for following Stripe's terms for your account. Halo is not a party to your sale to a member.
Tell members the terms before they pay. Before a member pays, you must make clear the price, how often it renews, how to cancel, and your refund policy. Halo's checkout shows the price and whether it renews. You must publish your refund policy where members see it before paying, such as in your Community's description or tier details, and follow it. You are responsible for complying with consumer protection and automatic renewal laws that apply to your sales.
Fees. Halo charges no fee on membership payments today. We may introduce a fee with at least 30 days' notice to you, and it will apply only to payments after it takes effect.
Checkout availability. We may pause new membership checkouts in your Community if your Stripe account is restricted, if we see a pattern of member complaints or disputes, or if you breach these Owner Terms. We aren't responsible for Stripe's decisions about your account or payouts.
3. Member information
Running a Community gives you access to members' account emails, application answers (which may include license details), payments, event attendance, and introduction requests. You may use this information only to run your Community and serve its members. You must:
- not sell it, or share it with anyone outside your Community's managers and moderators except as a member asks;
- respect members' privacy settings, for example by not sharing an email address a member has hidden from other members;
- not add members to unrelated marketing lists, and follow telemarketing, texting, and email laws (including the TCPA and CAN-SPAM) if you contact members outside Halo;
- keep anything you export secure, and delete it when you no longer need it to run your Community or when your Community closes; and
- tell us promptly at support@huzi.ai if you learn that member information was accessed without authorization.
Halo handles Community information under our Privacy Policy, and authorized Halo staff can view your Community for support and safety.
4. Vendors
You approve the vendors in your Community and set the relationship disclosure shown on their profiles. You must accurately disclose any material connection between you or your Community and a vendor, such as a sponsorship, payment, referral fee, or ownership interest. You must not accept anything of value for referring members to a settlement service provider (such as a lender or title company) where the law, including RESPA, prohibits it.
5. Content and AI
You are responsible for content you or your managers post, and for the instructions and Library resources you give your Community's assistant. AI can be wrong, and you must not present its answers as professional advice. Halo staff may share posts, resources, and announcements from the Halo Community with your Community's members.
6. Halo's rights
We may remove content, remove a manager or moderator, pause checkout, or suspend or close your Community if you materially breach these Owner Terms or the Terms, if your Community creates legal or security risk, or if the law requires it. Where practical, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
7. Closing a Community
You can ask us to close your Community at any time. We may close it for any reason with at least 30 days' notice, or sooner under Section 6. When a Community closes, you are responsible for stopping renewals and giving any refunds your policy or the law requires. We may cancel members' renewals for you. You can ask us to export your Community's content as Section 15 of the Terms describes.
8. Indemnification
In addition to Section 18 of the Terms, you will defend and indemnify Halo against third-party claims (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your membership sales, refunds, and disputes; content you or your managers post; your vendor relationships and disclosures; and your use of member information, except to the extent a claim results from our breach of these Owner Terms.
9. Changes
We may update these Owner Terms. If a change is material, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and may ask you to accept the updated Owner Terms when you next sign in.
